Supplications of Completion

اللَّهُمَّ ارْحَمْنَا بِالْقُرْآنِ، وَاجْعَلْهُ لَنَا إِمَامًا وَنُورًا وَهُدىً وَرَحْمَةً

O Allah, have mercy on us through the Quran, and make it for us a leader, a light, a guidance, and a mercy.

اللَّهُمَّ ذَكِّرْنَا مِنْهُ مَا نُسِّينَا، وَعَلِّمْنَا مِنْهُ مَا جَهِلْنَا، وَارْزُقْنَا تِلَاوَتَهُ آنَاءَ اللَّيْلِ وَأَطْرَافَ النَّهَارِ، وَاجْعَلْهُ لَنَا حُجَّةً يَا رَبَّ الْعَالَمِينَ

O Allah, remind us of what we have forgotten from it, teach us from it what we are ignorant of, grant us its recitation in the hours of the night and the ends of the day, and make it a proof for us, O Lord of all the worlds.

اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلِ الْقُرْآنَ رَبِيعَ قُلُوبِنَا، وَنُورَ صُدُورِنَا، وَجَلَاءَ أَحْزَانِنَا، وَذَهَابَ هُمُومِنَا

O Allah, make the Quran the spring of our hearts, the light of our chests, the remover of our sorrows, and the reliever of our anxieties.

اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْهُ لَنَا شَفِيعًا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ، وَلَا تَجْعَلْهُ عَلَيْنَا حُجَّةً يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ

O Allah, make it an intercessor for us on the Day of Resurrection, and do not make it a witness against us on the Day of Resurrection.

لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ الْعَظِيمُ الْحَلِيمُ، لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ رَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيمِ، لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ رَبُّ السَّمَوَاتِ وَرَبُّ الْأَرْضِ وَرَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْكَرِيمِ

There is no god worthy of worship except Allah, the Great, the Forbearing. There is no god worthy of worship except Allah, Lord of the Magnificent Throne. There is no god worthy of worship except Allah, Lord of the heavens and Lord of the earth, and Lord of the Noble Throne.

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِأَنِّي أَشْهَدُ أَنَّكَ أَنْتَ اللَّهُ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ الْأَحَدُ الصَّمَدُ الَّذِي لَمْ يَلِدْ وَلَمْ يُولَدْ وَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ كُفُوًا أَحَدٌ

O Allah, I ask You by virtue of the fact that I bear witness that You are Allah, there is no god worthy of worship except You, the One, the Self-Sufficient Master, Who begets not, nor was He begotten, and there is none equal to Him.

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِأَنَّ لَكَ الْحَمْدَ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ وَحْدَكَ لَا شَرِيكَ لَكَ الْمَنَّانُ بَدِيعُ السَّمَوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ يَا ذَا الْجَلَالِ وَالْإِكْرَامِ يَا حَيُّ يَا قَيُّومُ

O Allah, I ask You by virtue of the fact that all praise is Yours, there is no god worthy of worship except You, alone without partner, the Bestower, the Originator of the heavens and earth, O Possessor of Majesty and Honor, O Ever-Living, O Self-Sustaining.

اللَّهُمَّ رَبَّ السَّمَوَاتِ السَّبْعِ وَرَبَّ الْأَرْضِ، وَرَبَّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيمِ، رَبَّنَا وَرَبَّ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ، أَنْتَ الْأَوَّلُ فَلَيْسَ قَبْلَكَ شَيْءٌ، وَأَنْتَ الْآخِرُ فَلَيْسَ بَعْدَكَ شَيْءٌ، وَأَنْتَ الظَّاهِرُ فَلَيْسَ فَوْقَكَ شَيْءٌ، وَأَنْتَ الْبَاطِنُ فَلَيْسَ دُونَكَ شَيْءٌ، اقْضِ عَنَّا الدَّيْنَ وَأَغْنِنَا مِنَ الْفَقْرِ

O Allah, Lord of the seven heavens and Lord of the earth, Lord of the Magnificent Throne, our Lord and Lord of all things. You are the First and nothing is before You; You are the Last and nothing is after You; You are the Manifest and nothing is above You; You are the Hidden and nothing is beyond You. Settle our debt for us and relieve us from poverty.

Seeking Forgiveness & Repentance

اللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ رَبِّي لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ، خَلَقْتَنِي وَأَنَا عَبْدُكَ، وَأَنَا عَلَى عَهْدِكَ وَوَعْدِكَ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُ، أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا صَنَعْتُ، أَبُوءُ لَكَ بِنِعْمَتِكَ عَلَيَّ وَأَبُوءُ بِذَنْبِي، فَاغْفِرْ لِي فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوبَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ

O Allah, You are my Lord, there is no god worthy of worship except You. You created me and I am Your servant, and I am faithful to Your covenant and promise as best as I can. I seek refuge in You from the evil of what I have done. I acknowledge Your blessing upon me, and I acknowledge my sin, so forgive me, for truly none forgives sins except You.

اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِي ذَنْبِي كُلَّهُ، دِقَّهُ وَجِلَّهُ، وَأَوَّلَهُ وَآخِرَهُ، وَعَلَانِيَتَهُ وَسِرَّهُ

O Allah, forgive me all of my sins — the minor and the major, the first and the last, the public and the secret.

Sahih Muslim 483 — Said in sujud by the Prophet ﷺ

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي ظَلَمْتُ نَفْسِي ظُلْمًا كَثِيرًا وَلَا يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوبَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ، فَاغْفِرْ لِي مَغْفِرَةً مِنْ عِنْدِكَ وَارْحَمْنِي، إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ الْغَفُورُ الرَّحِيمُ

O Allah, I have done great wrong to myself, and none forgives sins except You, so grant me forgiveness from You and have mercy on me. Truly, You are the All-Forgiving, the Most Merciful.

اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّكَ عَفُوٌّ تُحِبُّ الْعَفْوَ فَاعْفُ عَنَّا

O Allah, You are the Pardoner and You love pardon, so pardon us.

رَبَّنَا ظَلَمْنَا أَنْفُسَنَا وَإِنْ لَمْ تَغْفِرْ لَنَا وَتَرْحَمْنَا لَنَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الْخَاسِرِينَ

Our Lord, we have wronged ourselves, and if You do not forgive us and have mercy upon us, we will surely be among the losers.

Quran 7:23 — Supplication of Adam and Hawwa

رَبَّنَا إِنَّنَا آمَنَّا فَاغْفِرْ لَنَا ذُنُوبَنَا وَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ

Our Lord, indeed we have believed, so forgive us our sins and protect us from the punishment of the Fire.

Wellbeing & Protection

اللَّهُمَّ عَافِنَا فِي أَبْدَانِنَا، اللَّهُمَّ عَافِنَا فِي أَسْمَاعِنَا، اللَّهُمَّ عَافِنَا فِي أَبْصَارِنَا، لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ، اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْكُفْرِ وَالْفَقْرِ، اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ عَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ، لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ

O Allah, grant us wellbeing in our bodies. O Allah, grant us wellbeing in our hearing. O Allah, grant us wellbeing in our sight. There is no god worthy of worship except You. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from disbelief and poverty. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the punishment of the grave. There is no god worthy of worship except You.

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ الْعَافِيَةَ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ، اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ الْعَفْوَ وَالْعَافِيَةَ فِي دِينِي وَدُنْيَايَ وَأَهْلِي وَمَالِي، اللَّهُمَّ اسْتُرْ عَوْرَاتِنَا وَآمِنْ رَوْعَاتِنَا، اللَّهُمَّ احْفَظْنَا مِنْ بَيْنِ أَيْدِينَا وَمِنْ خَلْفِنَا وَعَنْ أَيْمَانِنَا وَعَنْ شَمَائِلِنَا وَمِنْ فَوْقِنَا، وَأَعُوذُ بِعَظَمَتِكَ أَنْ نُغْتَالَ مِنْ تَحْتِنَا

O Allah, I ask You for wellbeing in this world and in the Hereafter. O Allah, I ask You for pardon and wellbeing in my religion, my worldly affairs, my family, and my wealth. O Allah, conceal our faults and calm our fears. O Allah, guard us from in front of us and from behind us, from our right and from our left, and from above us; and I seek refuge in Your greatness from being struck down from beneath us.

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ عَذَابِ جَهَنَّمَ، وَمِنْ عَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ، وَمِنْ فِتْنَةِ الْمَحْيَا وَالْمَمَاتِ، وَمِنْ شَرِّ فِتْنَةِ الْمَسِيحِ الدَّجَّالِ

O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the punishment of Hellfire, from the punishment of the grave, from the trials of life and death, and from the evil trial of the False Messiah (al-Dajjal).

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ أَنْ أَضِلَّ أَوْ أُضَلَّ، أَوْ أَزِلَّ أَوْ أُزَلَّ، أَوْ أَظْلِمَ أَوْ أُظْلَمَ، أَوْ أَجْهَلَ أَوْ يُجْهَلَ عَلَيَّ

O Allah, I seek refuge in You lest I go astray or be led astray, or lest I slip or be made to slip, or lest I wrong someone or be wronged, or lest I act in ignorance or be treated with ignorance.

O Allah, I seek refuge in You from trials — both those that are apparent and those that are hidden.

O Allah, protect me from the evil of every evil-doer, for You hold his forelock in Your hand.

O Allah, I seek refuge in You from poverty, scarcity, and humiliation; and I seek refuge in You from wronging others or being wronged.

O Allah, I seek refuge in You from evil character, evil deeds, and evil desires.

أُعِيذُكُمْ بِكَلِمَاتِ اللَّهِ التَّامَّةِ مِنْ كُلِّ شَيْطَانٍ وَهَامَّةٍ، وَمِنْ كُلِّ عَيْنٍ لَامَّةٍ

I seek refuge for you in the perfect words of Allah from every devil and every poisonous creature, and from every evil, harmful, envious eye.

يَا حَيُّ يَا قَيُّومُ بِرَحْمَتِكَ أَسْتَغِيثُ، أَصْلِحْ لِي شَأْنِي كُلَّهُ، وَلَا تَكِلْنِي إِلَى نَفْسِي طَرْفَةَ عَيْنٍ

O Ever-Living, O Self-Sustaining, by Your mercy I seek help. Set right all of my affairs and do not leave me to myself for the blink of an eye.

اللَّهُمَّ لَا سَهْلَ إِلَّا مَا جَعَلْتَهُ سَهْلًا، وَأَنْتَ تَجْعَلُ الْحَزْنَ إِذَا شِئْتَ سَهْلًا

O Allah, there is no ease except what You make easy, and You make hardship easy when You will.

اللَّهُمَّ أَصْلِحْ لَنَا دِينَنَا الَّذِي هُوَ عِصْمَةُ أَمْرِنَا، وَأَصْلِحْ لَنَا دُنْيَانَا الَّتِي فِيهَا مَعَاشُنَا، وَأَصْلِحْ لَنَا آخِرَتَنَا الَّتِي فِيهَا مَعَادُنَا، وَاجْعَلِ الْحَيَاةَ زِيَادَةً لَنَا فِي كُلِّ خَيْرٍ، وَاجْعَلِ الْمَوْتَ رَاحَةً لَنَا مِنْ كُلِّ شَرٍّ

O Allah, set right for us our religion which is the safeguard of our affairs. Set right for us our worldly life in which is our livelihood. Set right for us our Hereafter to which is our return. Make life an increase for us in every good, and make death a rest for us from every evil.

اللَّهُمَّ لَا تَجْعَلِ الدُّنْيَا أَكْبَرَ هَمِّنَا وَلَا مَبْلَغَ عِلْمِنَا، وَلَا إِلَى النَّارِ مَصِيرَنَا، وَلَا تُسَلِّطْ عَلَيْنَا مَنْ لَا يَرْحَمُنَا

O Allah, do not make this world our greatest concern nor the limit of our knowledge, and do not make the Fire our final destination, and do not give power over us to those who will not have mercy on us.

اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْ خَيْرَ عُمُرِي آخِرَهُ، وَخَيْرَ عَمَلِي خَوَاتِمَهُ، وَاجْعَلْ خَيْرَ أَيَّامِي يَوْمَ أَلْقَاكَ

O Allah, make the best of my life its last part, the best of my deeds their conclusion, and make the best of my days the day I meet You.

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنَ الْخَيْرِ كُلِّهِ عَاجِلِهِ وَآجِلِهِ مَا عَلِمْتُ مِنْهُ وَمَا لَمْ أَعْلَمْ، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الشَّرِّ كُلِّهِ عَاجِلِهِ وَآجِلِهِ مَا عَلِمْتُ مِنْهُ وَمَا لَمْ أَعْلَمْ، اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ الْجَنَّةَ وَمَا قَرَّبَ إِلَيْهَا مِنْ قَوْلٍ أَوْ عَمَلٍ، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ النَّارِ وَمَا قَرَّبَ مِنْهَا مِنْ قَوْلٍ أَوْ عَمَلٍ، وَأَسْأَلُكَ أَنْ تَجْعَلَ كُلَّ قَضَاءٍ قَضَيْتَهُ لِي خَيْرًا

O Allah, I ask You for all good — the immediate and the deferred, what I know of it and what I do not know. I seek refuge in You from all evil — the immediate and the deferred, what I know of it and what I do not know. O Allah, I ask You for Paradise and for whatever draws one closer to it in word or deed, and I seek refuge in You from the Fire and from whatever draws one closer to it in word or deed. And I ask You to make every decree You have decreed for me good.

اللَّهُمَّ اكْفِنَا بِحَلَالِكَ عَنْ حَرَامِكَ، وَأَغْنِنَا بِفَضْلِكَ عَمَّنْ سِوَاكَ

O Allah, suffice us with Your lawful provision against what is forbidden, and make us independent of all others through Your bounty.

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ فَضْلِكَ وَرَحْمَتِكَ فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَمْلِكُهَا إِلَّا أَنْتَ

O Allah, I ask You of Your bounty and mercy, for none possesses them except You.

Steadfastness of the Heart

يَا مُقَلِّبَ الْقُلُوبِ ثَبِّتْ قُلُوبَنَا عَلَى دِينِكَ، وَيَا مُصَرِّفَ الْقُلُوبِ صَرِّفْ قُلُوبَنَا إِلَى طَاعَتِكَ

O Turner of hearts, keep our hearts firm upon Your religion. O Director of hearts, turn our hearts toward Your obedience.

رَبَّنَا لَا تُزِغْ قُلُوبَنَا بَعْدَ إِذْ هَدَيْتَنَا وَهَبْ لَنَا مِنْ لَدُنْكَ رَحْمَةً إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ الْوَهَّابُ

Our Lord, do not let our hearts deviate after You have guided us, and grant us from Yourself mercy. Indeed, You are the Bestower.

اللَّهُمَّ أَعِنَّا عَلَى ذِكْرِكَ وَشُكْرِكَ وَحُسْنِ عِبَادَتِكَ

O Allah, help us to remember You, to thank You, and to worship You in the best manner.

My Lord, have mercy upon them as they raised me when I was small.

رَبَّنَا اغْفِرْ لِي وَلِوَالِدَيَّ وَلِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ يَوْمَ يَقُومُ الْحِسَابُ

Our Lord, forgive me and my parents and the believers on the Day the account is established.

Quran 14:41 — Supplication of Prophet Ibrahim

رَبِّ أَوْزِعْنِي أَنْ أَشْكُرَ نِعْمَتَكَ الَّتِي أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَيَّ وَعَلَى وَالِدَيَّ وَأَنْ أَعْمَلَ صَالِحًا تَرْضَاهُ وَأَصْلِحْ لِي فِي ذُرِّيَّتِي إِنِّي تُبْتُ إِلَيْكَ وَإِنِّي مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ

My Lord, inspire me to be grateful for Your favor which You have bestowed upon me and upon my parents, and to do righteousness of which You approve, and make my offspring righteous. Indeed, I have repented to You and indeed I am of the Muslims.

Quran 46:15

رَبَّنَا هَبْ لَنَا مِنْ أَزْوَاجِنَا وَذُرِّيَّاتِنَا قُرَّةَ أَعْيُنٍ وَاجْعَلْنَا لِلْمُتَّقِينَ إِمَامًا

Our Lord, grant us from among our spouses and offspring comfort to our eyes and make us leaders for the righteous.

Quran 25:74 — Supplication of the servants of the Most Merciful

رَبِّ اجْعَلْنِي مُقِيمَ الصَّلَاةِ وَمِنْ ذُرِّيَّتِي رَبَّنَا وَتَقَبَّلْ دُعَاءِ

My Lord, make me an establisher of prayer, and from my descendants. Our Lord, and accept my supplication.

My Lord, do not leave me alone, while You are the best of inheritors.

Our Lord, grant us from Yourself mercy and prepare for us from our affair right guidance.

اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِحَيِّنَا وَمَيِّتِنَا، وَصَغِيرِنَا وَكَبِيرِنَا، وَذَكَرِنَا وَأُنْثَانَا، وَشَاهِدِنَا وَغَائِبِنَا، اللَّهُمَّ مَنْ أَحْيَيْتَهُ مِنَّا فَأَحْيِهِ عَلَى الْإِسْلَامِ، وَمَنْ تَوَفَّيْتَهُ مِنَّا فَتَوَفَّهُ عَلَى الْإِيمَانِ

O Allah, forgive our living and our dead, our young and our old, our male and our female, those of us who are present and those who are absent. O Allah, whomever among us You keep alive, let him live upon Islam; and whomever among us You cause to die, let him die upon faith.

Our Lord, forgive us and our brothers who preceded us in faith, and put not in our hearts any resentment toward those who have believed. Our Lord, indeed You are Kind and Merciful.

اللَّهُمَّ آمِنَّا فِي أَوْطَانِنَا، وَأَصْلِحْ أَئِمَّتَنَا وَوُلَاةَ أُمُورِنَا، اللَّهُمَّ احْفَظْ بِلَادَنَا وَبِلَادَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ مِنْ شَرِّ الْأَشْرَارِ وَكَيْدِ الْفُجَّارِ وَشَرِّ طَوَارِقِ اللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ، اللَّهُمَّ مَنْ أَرَادَ بِنَا وَبِبِلَادِنَا سُوءًا فَأَشْغِلْهُ بِنَفْسِهِ وَرُدَّ كَيْدَهُ فِي نَحْرِهِ يَا سَمِيعَ الدُّعَاءِ

O Allah, grant us security in our homelands. Reform our leaders and those in authority over us. O Allah, protect our lands and the lands of the Muslims from the evil of the wicked, the plotting of the corrupt, and the harms that come by night and day. O Allah, whoever intends harm against us and our lands, keep them preoccupied with their own affairs and turn their plotting back against them, O Hearer of supplications.

O Allah, honor Islam and the Muslims, and humiliate shirk and the polytheists, and protect the domain of Islam, O Lord of all the worlds.

Our Lord, accept from us. Indeed, You are the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing. (Quran 2:127)
And accept our repentance. Indeed, You are the Accepting of Repentance, the Merciful. (Quran 2:128)
And forgive us and our parents and all the Muslims.
May Allah's blessings and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and all his Companions.
