Supplications for the Completion of the Holy Quran
Upon completing the recitation of the Quran, raise your hands, face the qiblah, and make du'a with full presence of heart. The supplications below are drawn from authentic hadith and Quranic verses, compiled in the tradition of Khatm al-Quran. Use Recite Only mode to hide all distractions and focus solely on the Arabic text while you recite.
O Allah, have mercy on us through the Quran, and make it for us a leader, a light, a guidance, and a mercy.

You are the First and nothing is before You; You are the Last and nothing is after You; You are the Manifest and nothing is above You; You are the Hidden and nothing is beyond You. Settle our debt for us and relieve us from poverty.
Sahih Muslim 2713O Allah, You are my Lord, there is no god worthy of worship except You. You created me and I am Your servant, and I am faithful to Your covenant and promise as best as I can. I seek refuge in You from the evil of what I have done. I acknowledge Your blessing upon me, and I acknowledge my sin, so forgive me, for truly none forgives sins except You.
Sahih al-Bukhari 6306 — Sayyid al-Istighfar (The Master Supplication of Forgiveness)O Allah, forgive me all of my sins — the minor and the major, the first and the last, the public and the secret.
Sahih Muslim 483 — Said in sujud by the Prophet ﷺO Allah, I have done great wrong to myself, and none forgives sins except You, so grant me forgiveness from You and have mercy on me. Truly, You are the All-Forgiving, the Most Merciful.
Sahih al-Bukhari 834 — Taught by the Prophet ﷺ to Abu Bakr al-SiddiqO Allah, You are the Pardoner and You love pardon, so pardon us.
Sunan Ibn Majah 3850 · Sahih — Taught for Laylat al-QadrOur Lord, we have wronged ourselves, and if You do not forgive us and have mercy upon us, we will surely be among the losers.
Quran 7:23 — Supplication of Adam and HawwaOur Lord, indeed we have believed, so forgive us our sins and protect us from the punishment of the Fire.
Quran 3:16O Allah, grant us wellbeing in our bodies. O Allah, grant us wellbeing in our hearing. O Allah, grant us wellbeing in our sight. There is no god worthy of worship except You. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from disbelief and poverty. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the punishment of the grave. There is no god worthy of worship except You.
Sunan Abi Dawud 5090 · Hasan Sahih — Said every morning and eveningO Allah, I ask You for wellbeing in this world and in the Hereafter. O Allah, I ask You for pardon and wellbeing in my religion, my worldly affairs, my family, and my wealth. O Allah, conceal our faults and calm our fears. O Allah, guard us from in front of us and from behind us, from our right and from our left, and from above us; and I seek refuge in Your greatness from being struck down from beneath us.

Sahih Muslim 2720O Allah, do not make this world our greatest concern nor the limit of our knowledge, and do not make the Fire our final destination, and do not give power over us to those who will not have mercy on us.

I seek refuge in You from all evil — the immediate and the deferred, what I know of it and what I do not know. O Allah, I ask You for Paradise and for whatever draws one closer to it in word or deed, and I seek refuge in You from the Fire and from whatever draws one closer to it in word or deed. And I ask You to make every decree You have decreed for me good.
Sunan Ibn Majah 3846 · SahihO Allah, suffice us with Your lawful provision against what is forbidden, and make us independent of all others through Your bounty.
